About: An evergreen shrub that is native to western North America. Its lovely bright yellow and mildly fragrant flowers bloom in spring, and are the state flower of Oregon. Rich in berberine, Oregon Grape Root is similar in action to Barberry and Goldthread, two herbs found in the woodlands of the Northeast.
